by PetrosM, 7 months agoI am amazed how far password managers have come! I chose Proton to better secure my accounts because of their focus on privacy but their focus on SECURITY goes so under represented.
AT TIME OF WRITING (always check review dates, software changes) its SEAMLESS. Literally i just transferred all of my passwords right across, it syncs and works seamlessly on android, windows, browsers, etc. And its also worked amazing at helping remove duplicates, secure old accounts, add 2FA to everything, even opt out of marketing (this wasnt by design but the page it takes you to to manage your accounts is usually right next to all of the privacy opt-outs, so ive been using this to opt out of advertiser profiles too)
And beyond all that you can even attach things to your passwords! This is a double edged sword though. You can use it to attach recovery codes for authenticators!... but then your password manager becomes very high risk and youll need to lock it down like fort knox.
Or you can be clever and attach hints and clues for account recovery (e.g "the recovery codes are in the third draw in the metal tin")
Adore this, loving proton so far!

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14019884, 2 days agoExcellent, but very worrying. The extensions, I don't know if due to updates or something else, lose their blocking configuration and suddenly have open access. This is recurring, in several browsers I use, it's not a specific issue, or the browser, or whatever.

I never used password managers before. I use it because i really trust Proton!
Thanks you a lot! - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13869688, 2 days agoA lot of times PP suggests to fill a password form with a new random password, although an account exists (extension icon even shows "1"). Also TOTP is regularly not copied to clipboard and most sites will not be recognized by automatic TOTP fill in feature.. PP still has a long way to go

posted 2 days agoThanks for your detailed feedback. Could you report these issues via the "Feedback" option in Proton Pass or our support form, including the affected websites if possible? This will help us investigate the password suggestion and TOTP autofill behavior. - Rated 5 out of 5by Yushtiy, 2 days ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Leo, 5 days agoIt's perfection. What else can I say? it's reliable, simple to use and it offers a good amount of options in the ree version. The pro version does feels like a pro version since it offers extra features that are way useful for everyday tasks and reminders. Plus the Alias mails works like a charm
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 20068929, 5 days agoProton Pass is so much better than LastPass, it's laughable. We're really enjoying the improved functionality, the far better aesthetics, and peace of mind. An elegant solution for a crappy problem.
