by Firefox user 18862493, a year agoI'm a little bit of a tab hoarder... And that results in all of my 32GB of RAM filling up all the time. Then I need to close the browser and open it again, to free up my RAM. My next planned step before knowing about this extension was to buy more RAM.
But this extension fixes the problem. All tabs that are not used just get their resources freed after some time. How this is not a standard feature in Firefox baffles me... So it goes without saying; This is a great extension!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Reigar, 2 months agoUsing with Firefox 151.0.1 (64-bit) on Linux Mint 22.3 with 16 Gb of ram. Generally run about 15 tabs, with many known for eating ram (e.g., voice.google.com). On average, app will reduce consumed amount of ram from 5 gb, down to 2 gb if all tabs are asleep "aka discarded". very much worth it.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19964793, 2 months agoSO FAR SO GOOD, WORKED IMMEDIATELY "OUT OF THE BOX" WISH WE COULD WHITELIST LEFT ALIGNED PAGE FORMAT VS JUSTIFIED FORMAT. THAT'S JUST A LITTLE NUANCE, BUT THE REST IS GREAT👍

Surprisingly, it still works, despite that the last update was 4 years ago. I installed it only because of this option: "Allows for the forced discarding of specified hostnames". And it works better than expected! It doesn't allow opening tabs leading to a specific site. Not just "open and then autoclose the tab", as I thought it would. It plain and simple doesn't allow the tab to be created! <3
