by Firefox user 12525123, 3 years agoThe title is "Translate Web Pages" implying that it would automatically translate web pages. That doesn't happen at all. This is useless. It's the same as using Google Translate in Firefox which also doesn't work properly. Do you think we really want to continually click to translate? How many hundreds or thousands of time is enough for you brain damaged developers? If it's in another language we want it translated. Do you think we learn a language overnight and tomorrow we may not need it translated? When you say "Always translate from ....." IT DOESN'T WORK.
Of course my Firefox install is updated automatically. Just checked it.
So please make this thing work properly or change your title to "Translate by clicking out button 5000 times a day".

posted 3 years agoThe "Always translate from ..." option works. If it's not working for you, create an issue on Github.

- Rated 5 out of 5by FieryOx, 9 days agoGod bless this TWP extension for saving me the trouble of having to go out of my way to right click and translate each text. It can automatically carry out the translation on any webpage for the most part without you needing to go through selecting a text.
- Rated 5 out of 5by zzyzzx, 11 days agoLooked at a bunch of different translation extensions and this is the only one that is lightweight, unintrusive, not based on a third party LLM, and still powerful enough to dynamically inline translate webpages. Honestly better than Firefox's native implementation.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 20027266, a month agoThey accidentally made "choose a language" option, choose what language it's translated TO, rather than from. So any page that has an English word, or a word that also happens to be in the English dictionary, cannot be translated by this.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Ayesha, a month agoHands down best translate extension out there. Love the simple UI, I use it often on sites like youtube, twitter and it translates quickly. As it is fast I can translate live chats on streams too, which is very useful!
