1) making all my tabs run slower...significantly slower
2) not honoring my preference of not running the addon on certain sites. After setting a site to not use the addon when I return to the page, the addon will still sometimes applying theming to the page...sometimes incompletely. This sometimes caused text to become unreadable.
A change could be made to the addon to correct this...default to off. Let me set a preference for if I want to apply dark mode or light mode, and then let me turn it on rather than force me to turn it off when it doesn't work for a site. This would default to the addon doing nothing on any sites until I explicitly say I want to use it there. You could even set it so I can choose whether the addon is used by default or not used by default. Options are always good.
I have uninstalled this addon because of these problems. If I hear these issues have been corrected, I'll try it again.

I made a userscript that highlights certain text on a page, but DarkReader keeps overriding my high visibility colors (neon yellow, magenta, cyan, etc.) with neutral versions of these colors. I tried to be slick and added 'darkreader' class to my style element to trick the extension into thinking that it is its own style and ignore it, and it worked! But now I found out that DarkReader deletes all its styles on websites that already have dark theme, including my own style.

- Rated 5 out of 5by WilsonBorkowski, 4 days agoThis extension is great. I had previously tried the Dark Mode by Bernard extension but was frustrated because it was either everything on or off. It was not easy to whitelist webpages and more often than not websites end up looking weird with dark mode applied to them. But this extension lets me set the site list to inverted listed only so by default it is off and only on for specific domains that I add. That's perfect for me because I would much rather add the few sites I actually want dark mode on than exclude every site where I don't like it.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 20043519, 16 days agoIt pains me to rate it this low as I do love it, but with the last update it's now slowing down google docs to an almost unusable state. A shame, since it's the only reason I have this addon and until now it was seamlessly functional. Messed with settings but the only thing that fixes it is turning it off entirely. Using a mac.
