by DatrixTHLK, 2 years agoI don't usually write reviews or anything for Firefox extensions, but I feel I must for this one. As far as Channel blocking I can only do that if I'm on a video of that users page not on the users page itself. I am only given an option to report users NOT block them like I was able to do in a previous version. Typing in words in a blacklist does NOT block the users who use said words within the blacklist I created. I'm already able to block YouTube Shorts and Movies since I just checked marked those in the options and generated playlists and it does remove the video paused function from interfering with me watching or listening to the videos.
It would be nice to be able to block comments on videos again just by clicking on the 3 dots next to the comment.
BlockTube's UI and functionality within it's extension doesn't work when I manually type in names of channels to block as it doesn't work for me. As of right now I can only give it 2 stars as it really is a necessity to block channels and comments as most comments are just recycled comments from other videos and meme comments and AI chat bots.

I seem to have mixed results, like it works and sometimes it doesn't, when adding the channel ID or channel name, but I play around with it and it eventually works between the 2. Just erase the text that's there and push enter for the next line of whatever word/channel ID you put for blocking and "save". Thank goodness! Thank you! You have restored relief when browsing videos!

The advanced blocking seems to break whenever there are certain special characters like pipes "|" in the video titles though; I'd like to see that fixed if possible.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Tone, 4 months agoLightweight, doesn't slow my browser down and generally works well. If it supported blocking videos by categories and tags, it would easily be a 5 star add-on. Even in its current form, it's still pretty good.

My only gripe is I can not find the list of blocked things. It would be great if I can look over them and unblock something if I blocked it on accident. (Which occurs periodically when I'm trying add a vid to my playlist.) Please consider or make clearer instructions on how to do so.

I think there is a bug where when you load a page the addon would not. You have to switch it off/on and it would work.. sometimes.

- Rated 1 out of 5by KaiM4K, 7 months agoEin Stern für die gute Idee funktioniert leider gar nicht. Ich habe über die erweiterten Optionen versucht, Kanäle mit null Views bzw. wenig Views zu blocken, aber das funktioniert gar nicht über JavaScript. Hab dann testweise allen Inhalt geblockt, das funktioniert, aber bleibt dann erhalten, bis man die Erweiterung komplett deinstalliert, selbst wenn man die erweiterten Optionen ausschaltet. Also komplett unnütz.
