by Firefox user 13026103, 9 years agoWas favorite adblocker for years. Stopped for a while and tried ublock origin. Found that ublock origin didn't keep stats of blocked URLs like ABP did. So went back to ABP only to find that it no longer keeps stats and has been substantially dumbed down from the level of control it used to have. Right now neither adblocker gives me the information or level or control that I am accustomed to.
I guess I will switch to ublock origin as ABP lost all my filters and stats and doesn't have near the filters available anymore.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 20034667, 23 days agoThis will remain a 1 star until ABP decides to stop interrupting my mornings with pop-up ads. Other ad blockers have enough common sense not to CAUSE THEIR OWN POP-UP ADS. When good ad blockers like uBlock Origin update, they do it quietly without bothering the user. The people at ABP thought you wouldn't mind annoying adverts if it was from them. Advertising to me a product I already have installed is a sure sign these people do not respect users time.

posted 2 months agoWe appreciate your feedback. We use a system called smart allowlisting: if you do not visit a website that you have allowlisted within 7 days, it gets automatically removed from your allowlisted websites. If you visit it in 7 days, it will get renewed for another 7 days.
