by W2MiW, 2 years agoI wanted to THANK the Developer for your kind response. I greatly appreciate & did a'lil research about the UTube changes you spoke of...THANK YOU for the heads up!
I've used the FREE version of AdBlock Plus many years...recently (2024) I've had to disable it for YouTube to work on my W10 PC...but I believe if I just disable one of the Block Scripts it should work (This DID Work! - just made a small adjustment in allowed/blocked & It WORKS!). I have other AdBlockers that still help not see ads but AdBlock Plus is WONDERFUL for my overall internet experience!

posted 2 years agoGlad to know you have been enjoying ABP! :) YouTube has been intermittently testing strategies to show either ads or their anti-adblocking wall. However, in some cases we've found that your settings might have changed which is why ads are suddenly appearing. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 20034667, 22 days agoThis will remain a 1 star until ABP decides to stop interrupting my mornings with pop-up ads. Other ad blockers have enough common sense not to CAUSE THEIR OWN POP-UP ADS. When good ad blockers like uBlock Origin update, they do it quietly without bothering the user. The people at ABP thought you wouldn't mind annoying adverts if it was from them. Advertising to me a product I already have installed is a sure sign these people do not respect users time.

posted 2 months agoWe appreciate your feedback. We use a system called smart allowlisting: if you do not visit a website that you have allowlisted within 7 days, it gets automatically removed from your allowlisted websites. If you visit it in 7 days, it will get renewed for another 7 days.
