About this extension
A comprehensive toolkit that gives you back control over YouTube's player. Eleven toggleable features in a single popup — no account, no tracking, just a better YouTube experience.
Features
🎬 Preferred quality
Forces your chosen resolution (144p–4K or Auto) on every video. When the exact resolution isn't available or is Premium-locked, it picks the closest lower free tier — never drops back to Auto. The settings menu runs hidden, so you never see a panel pop open in the corner.
🔊 Default volume level
Sets the volume once when a video starts. After that, the volume is fully under your control — no continuous enforcement, no fighting with the slider.
🚫 Block volume scroll
Scrolling the mouse wheel over the volume control no longer changes the volume. Prevents those annoying accidental jumps while you're reading comments near the player.
🔇 Mute hover previews
Videos that start playing when you hover over a thumbnail stay muted. On by default — silence the previews without giving up the preview itself.
🔁 Prevent Shorts from looping
Pauses a Short on its last frame instead of replaying it forever. Off by default.
🖥 Auto-expand player
Automatically switches every video into theater mode.
💬 Captions & subtitles control
Keeps captions permanently off (or permanently on), overriding YouTube's auto-detected preference so they stop turning themselves on.
📌 Mini player
When you scroll down past the video to read comments, it smoothly detaches into a small floating window — size (320×180 up to 1280×720) and corner both configurable. Keeps a stable 16:9 shape for the entire video. Scroll back up, or click the close button, and it snaps back.
❌ Hide info cards & end screens
Removes the "i" card teasers during playback and the suggestion grid at the end of videos.
🌐 No translations
Keeps creator content in its original language: watch-page titles, tab title and tooltips, feed/search titles (including Shorts and notifications), the watch-page description, feed/search description snippets, chapter names (chip, seekbar pill, chapters panel). YouTube UI chrome (view counts, buttons) is left untouched — only creator content is restored.
🖱 Prevent accidental Shorts scrolling
Requires a deliberate scroll (crossing a threshold) to switch Shorts. One-notch mouse wheel bumps and light trackpad swipes no longer switch videos. Comments, header, and side panels keep their normal scrolling.
