Privacy policy for WebFolder
WebFolder is a local website and tab organizer that replaces Firefox's New Tab page.
Testing instructions:
- Install the extension and allow it to replace the New Tab page when Firefox requests confirmation.
- Open a new tab to view the WebFolder interface.
- Create a folder.
- Open any regular HTTP or HTTPS website.
- Open the WebFolder toolbar popup.
- Use "Page" to save the current page.
- Use "Tabs" to select and save multiple open tabs.
- Create a Firefox tab group and use "Group" to save its tabs.
- Verify that the saved links appear inside the selected folder.
- Test tags, favorites, drag and drop, import/export, and opening all links in a folder.
No account, login, payment, or external service is required.
All folders, URLs, tags, favorites, and preferences are stored locally using browser.storage.local.
The extension does not transmit saved content or browsing data to external servers.
The support link is optional and opens https://webfolder.app/apoya/ only after an explicit user click.
The submitted extension uses plain HTML, CSS, and readable JavaScript. There is no minification, transpilation, bundling, or generated runtime code. npm/web-ext is used only to validate and package the existing files; it does not transform the extension source.
