About this extension
VPNmine routes your browser traffic through a proxy server in the country you choose. Sign in, pick a location, click connect. Click again to stop.

WHAT IT DOES

• Routes your browser's traffic through the VPNmine server you select, for as long as you stay connected.
• Lets you search a list of locations and switch between them without reconnecting anything by hand.
• Shows an ON badge on the toolbar icon so the connection state is never a guess.
• Restores your connection after a browser restart, and renews its access credentials before they expire.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO

• It does not log the sites you visit or the contents of your traffic.
• It does not inject scripts into the pages you open, read page content, or change what a page shows you.
• It does not show ads, and it does not sell data to anyone.

HOW ACCESS WORKS

Credentials for a server are issued to your browser at the moment you connect, and they are specific to that install. Connecting again replaces them. Disconnecting revokes them. Removing the browser from your account in the VPNmine panel cuts off access on the next request.

Traffic to app.vpnmine.com and to localhost is never routed through the proxy, so the extension can always reach its own control plane and local development is unaffected.

BEFORE YOU CONNECT

The first time you open the extension it shows a disclosure describing exactly what happens to your browser traffic, what is bypassed, and what is stored on our side. Nothing is routed anywhere until you have read it and continued.

ACCOUNT

An account is required — sign in with an email address and password, or with Google. New addresses are confirmed with a six-digit code. One account covers the mobile apps and the browser extension. Free locations are available to every account; the rest need a subscription.

You can delete your account and everything attached to it from Profile → Delete account inside the extension. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

WHAT IS STORED

Your account details (email address, and a display name if you set one), a random identifier for this install, and connect / disconnect events used to measure whether servers are healthy. That is the whole list. Full detail: https://vpnmine.com/privacy
