Last updated: 3 August 2026
VoxyFlow is a browser extension that helps users translate webpage text, listen to text, and save vocabulary.
Data stored locally
VoxyFlow stores extension settings, language and shortcut preferences, API keys, translation history, cached translations, and vocabulary entries locally in Firefox on your device. VoxyFlow does not operate its own translation or AI backend and does not use extension analytics or tracking.
Data sent to third-party services
When you use a translation, text-to-speech, or AI chat feature, VoxyFlow sends the text needed for that request directly to the service you selected:
• DeepL, for translation;
• OpenRouter, for translation, AI chat, or text-to-speech;
• the Ollama host you configure, which may be a local or remote server.
When required by DeepL or OpenRouter, your API key is sent directly to that provider only to authenticate your request. VoxyFlow does not send API keys, webpage text, browsing history, or saved vocabulary to VoxyFlow servers.
You choose which service to configure and use. The selected provider’s own privacy policy and terms apply to data it receives. A provider account, API key, or paid plan may be required.
Data we do not collect
VoxyFlow does not sell, rent, or trade personal data. It does not collect browsing history, create user profiles, or use advertising or analytics trackers in the extension.
Your choices
You can change or remove provider settings, clear saved vocabulary and history, and stop using a provider at any time through the extension settings.
