Vivid Media Downloader does not collect analytics, does not track users, and shows no advertising.

All media processing happens locally on your device using a bundled WebAssembly build of ffmpeg. No media file, media URL, or page content is ever transmitted to our servers.

Requests to our own servers are limited to three, and none of them carries what you download:
• Licence validation — the licence key and a device identifier, when you activate or revalidate a paid licence.
• Free-tier quota — a randomly generated device identifier, the date and a count, on each download made on the free tier. No URL and no content.
• Domain disable list — an empty GET every 12 hours, fetching the list of domains disabled after a rights-holder notice.

The device identifier is generated locally, is not a hardware or browser fingerprint, and is not linked to a name or account. The quota counter is deleted after 48 hours.

Crash reporting is opt-in and disabled by default.

Settings and your saved Library sync across your own devices through the browser's built-in sync. That data goes to your browser account, not to us. Download history is not synced. Cloud tokens are stored locally only and are never synced.
