About this extension
TubeScope gives you YouTube channel research that runs entirely on your own machine.

Export any channel

Open any public channel and export its full video catalog as CSV or JSON: views, likes, comments, duration, tags, engagement rate, views per day, and an outlier score showing which videos beat that channel's own median.

Full analyser report
  • Performance summary: median vs mean views, upload cadence, consistency
  • Charts: upload timeline, views distribution, outlier detection
  • Best time to post: a day-by-hour heatmap built from how uploads actually performed
  • The channel's most used tags, which the site itself hides
  • The words that appear most in its best performing titles
  • View velocity: which videos are gaining fastest right now
  • A sortable, searchable table of every video

Quick stats while you browse

Open any video and get views per day, engagement rate, like ratio and age in one click.

Watchlist

Save channels you want to keep an eye on and manage them from the options page.

How it works

You supply your own free YouTube Data API v3 key. The options page walks you through getting one, it takes about two minutes. The free quota is 10,000 units per day, and a 1,000 video channel costs roughly 41 units.

Your key is stored locally and is only ever sent to Google's API. There is no backend, no account, and no telemetry.

Open source under the MIT license. Not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
Developer comments
TubeScope needs a free YouTube Data API v3 key, which you create in about two
minutes at console.cloud.google.com. The options page has step by step
instructions. This is what keeps the extension free and serverless: your key,
your quota, your machine. Nothing is sent anywhere except Google's API.
