TabPet — Privacy Policy
Short version: TabPet collects nothing. No accounts. No tracking. No data leaves your device. Ever.

What data does TabPet collect?
None. TabPet does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, browsing history, or usage statistics — with us or with any third party.

What data does TabPet store?
TabPet stores a single game-save object in your browser's built-in local extension storage
(browser.storage.local). This object lives only on your device and contains:

Your pet's in-game stats (name, level, XP, happiness, fullness, hygiene, streaks)
Your pet's position on the page (so it stays where you dragged it)
Your in-game sound preference (on/off)
This data is used exclusively to run the game locally. It is never sent over the network and is
deleted if you uninstall the extension or use the built-in "🔄 reset pet" button.

Does TabPet read my browsing history?
TabPet inspects the URL of the currently visible tab (in-memory, momentarily) to decide how
your pet should react to the site you're on — e.g. "productive" vs "distract" sites. This is
done on the fly, in your browser's memory only. URLs are never stored, logged, or transmitted.

Does TabPet make any network requests?
No. The extension is fully offline. It makes zero network requests — no analytics, no
telemetry, no remote fonts or assets. You can verify this with your browser's network monitor.

Data collection permissions
In accordance with Firefox's built-in data collection consent system, TabPet declares
"data_collection_permissions": { "required": ["none"] } in its manifest — meaning no data
collection or transmission is required for the extension to work.
