About this extension
Sugar Sense for Firefox shows your current glucose right on the browser toolbar, so you can keep an eye on it while you work, without switching tabs.
WHAT IT DOES
• Toolbar badge with your latest CGM reading, colored by range (in range, warning, alert)
• Popup with the current value, trend arrow and update time
• A 3-hour mini graph with hover details
• Follows your Sugar Sense account settings: mg/dL or mmol/L and your own alert thresholds
• Available in English, French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Georgian
HOW IT WORKS
Sign in once with the same Google or Apple account you use in the Sugar Sense app, via the Sugar Sense web dashboard. The extension then reads your latest glucose from your own account every 30 seconds. Data older than 15 minutes shows as "--", so a stale number is never mistaken for a current one.
IMPORTANT
• Requires a Sugar Sense account with a connected glucose source (FreeStyle Libre, Dexcom, Nightscout, Apple Health or manual readings), set up in the Sugar Sense iPhone app
• This extension is for viewing only. It never sends notifications or alerts: alerts stay on your phone, where they are reliable
• Not a medical device and not a substitute for professional medical advice
PRIVACY
Your session and latest readings are stored only locally in your browser. The extension talks only to sugarsense.io and Google sign-in services, and never shares your data with anyone else. Privacy policy: https://sugarsense.io/privacy-policy
