About this extension
Is your browser getting slow? Is your computer draining a lot of battery? Sleepy Tabs will free up memory and CPU by automatically unloading tabs you haven't used in a while, without closing them.
A sleeping tab stays exactly where it is in your tab bar, keeping its title and icon. The moment you click it, it reloads and picks up where you left off. Nothing is ever closed or lost.
Features
- Automatic: set your idle time once and forget about it
- Per-site rules: give specific sites their own timer, or exclude them from sleeping entirely. More specific patterns win, so you can sleep youtube.com but keep youtube.com/watch awake
- Skips pinned tabs (optional)
- Skips tabs playing audio, so your music never stops (optional)
- Pause everything with a single toggle
