New Features:
- Weather forecast, hover or tap the weather widget to see the next hours plus today's and tomorrow's highs and lows. Turn it off anytime with the new Weather Forecast setting.
- Settings sync across your devices, your theme, accent color, quicklinks, search engines, and background preferences now follow you. Install Slate Tabs on another device and your setup comes with you (works with Firefox Sync and Chrome sync).

Bug patches, and fixes!
- The search bar's engine picker was reorganized into cleaner, faster code, the way it looks and works is unchanged.
- Added automated tests and a build-check pipeline so future updates stay reliable.
- Fixed npm run dev crashing with a "Parsing CSS source code failed" error on Windows by switching the dev server to webpack mode (a Turbopack bug; the production build is unaffected).
- Removed the live clock from the home screen to keep the greeting centered and uncluttered. (beta feature)
- Background gallery now loads in the browser extension, the image gallery and "Random Background" button no longer fail silently when using the packaged extension.
- Preferences are now handled through one reliable system, making settings snappier and less error-prone. Nothing you need to do, it just works.
