Short URL QR Code does not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, usage statistics, or personal information for the developer.


When the user clicks “Create short URL,” the current or manually entered URL is transmitted over HTTPS to the URL-shortening provider selected
by the user:
- is.gd
- Bitly
- reurl.cc

The URL is transmitted only to provide the requested URL-shortening function.

When Bitly or reurl.cc is selected, the API token entered by the user is transmitted over HTTPS only to that selected provider for authentication.

These third-party services process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.


Bitly and reurl.cc API tokens are stored locally using Firefox extension storage so they can be reused. The developer does not receive or have access to these tokens.


QR codes are generated entirely inside the extension. Shortened URLs are not sent to an external QR code generation service.


The developer does not sell, rent, share, or use user data for advertising, profiling, or analytics.


The developer does not operate a server and does not retain user data. Third-party URL-shortening providers may retain information according to their own policies.
