    Version 0.2.0

    Released Aug 2, 2026 - 434.41 KB
Works with firefox 140.0 and later, android 142.0 and later
    Added
    - Side panel as the primary surface (Chrome sidePanel, Firefox sidebarAction), replacing the toolbar popup.
    - Detach button — pops the panel into a movable window, for a second monitor or over a full-screen app.
    - Save to Poly: Save as document (creates a real Office document in your account) and Remember (stores a
    compact note in universal memory).
    - Research-journal recall — journals matching your message are excerpted into context, cited by name. Respects
the existing Research tool scope, including per-space selection.
    - Office documents created from the panel now link straight to the document on poly.inc.
    - Continue where you left off setting.
    - Sign out moved into Settings.

    Changed
    - Imported conversations go to your Poly account (/api/chat/history) and open on poly.inc; the local session
store is now only a fallback for when you're signed out or the save fails, and the button says which happened.
    - Page extraction rewritten: walks the live DOM instead of cloning it, so it can tell what's actually rendered
and preserve structure as markdown. Adds author, publisher, publication date, language, and PDF/video
detection; falls through to same-origin iframes and open shadow roots.
    - Long pages are truncated around your reading position — the opening plus a window where you've scrolled —
with gaps marked and a full heading outline attached.
    - Content containers are chosen by prose density rather than raw length, so a fat footer no longer beats the
    article.
    - Quick actions and page context refresh when the panel regains focus.

    Fixed
    - Stale page context. The source tab was pinned to whichever tab launched the assistant and only cleared when
that tab died — switch tabs and every send re-read the page you'd left. It now follows tab activation and
window focus, survives service-worker eviction, and returns nothing rather than substituting another tab's
    page.
    - Navigating mid-conversation is now stated explicitly in the prompt. Only the newest system prompt reaches the
model, so earlier turns carried no page marker and it kept answering from the first page.
    - A stored launch page is no longer used as context once it's over a minute old.
    - create_journal no longer reports a false success. Journals are persisted by the web client, so nothing was
ever saved — the card now says the draft wasn't kept.
    - Right-click prompts land exactly once when both the panel and a detached window are open.

    Removed
    - Demo mode and its simulated assistant loop. Signed out, you get a Connect page.
    - Hands-free voice mode. Dictation in the composer and read-aloud on messages are unchanged — the hands-free
toggle persisted its state, so hiding it would have left it stuck on with no way to turn it off.
    - Toolbar popup (src/popup/).
