SEARCH BREAKING AND HISTORICAL NEWS
Access real-time breaking news as it happens, plus historical articles from thousands of trusted news sources worldwide.
Search for virtually anything, including companies, brands, products, people, countries, cities, politics, sports, finance, cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, technology, entertainment, health, science, or any keyword you're interested in.
POWERFUL SEARCH FILTERS
Quickly narrow your results using advanced search filters. Filter news by language, country, category, and publication date on any plan. Region, timeframe, sentiment, and tag filters are available on paid NewsData.io plans, and the extension shows you which filters your plan supports.
RICH NEWS RESULTS
Every news article includes the information you need at a glance, including the featured image, headline, publisher, and publication date. Sentiment analysis is included on paid NewsData.io plans. You can save articles for later, share them with others, or open the original article directly on the publisher's website.
Bookmark Articles
Bookmark important articles to access them later without searching again. Build your own collection of news stories and revisit them anytime from within the extension.
Create Topic Alerts
Stay updated with the topics that matter most by creating keyword-based alerts for companies, brands, products, people, or any topic. Enable alerts in Settings and receive notifications whenever new articles matching your alerts are published, so you never miss important updates.
You can also create alerts directly from any webpage. Simply select the text, right-click, open the extension menu, and choose "Set alert for 'Selected Text'" to start tracking news for the selected keyword or phrase instantly.
QUICK & EASY SETUP
Getting started only takes a few seconds. Create a free NewsData.io account, generate your free API key, add it to the extension settings, and start searching real-time news immediately.
Your API key is encrypted and stored on your own device. It is never sent anywhere except NewsData.io.
ABOUT CREDITS
Every search uses one NewsData.io API credit, and the extension shows your remaining balance in the panel footer so there are no surprises.
Two optional features can use credits in the background. Both are OFF by default — switch them on in Settings whenever you want them:
Topic alerts — checks your watched keywords on a schedule
Related news — looks for articles related to the page you're on
WHY NEWSRADAR ASKS FOR SITE ACCESS
The search panel and the select-text-to-search button have to work on whatever page you happen to be reading, which is why Chrome asks about access to websites during installation.
NewsRadar does not read the content of the pages you visit. It uses the text you deliberately select, and — only if you switch on the optional Related News feature — the page title and keywords, in order to find matching articles.
