The Muse browser extension is a companion to the Muse app for Mac. Everything stays on your own Mac; nothing is sent to us or any third party.

What it accesses: nothing until you act. When you choose to save something (right-click or the in-page clipper), it reads only the item you picked plus the page's title and URL, so Muse can record the source. A content script runs on pages solely to draw the clipper and package what you select. It does not read passwords, form inputs, messages or browsing history.

Where it goes: the item you save is sent only to the Muse app running locally on your Mac (http://127.0.0.1:17894). It never leaves your device and reaches no external server. No tracking, no analytics, no account.
