About this extension
Ever merged a PR you only meant to review?
Merge Manners disables merge/squash/rebase buttons on pull requests you didn't create. You can still review, comment, and approve. You just can't accidentally merge someone else's work.
What it detects:
- Whether you're the PR author
- Whether you've pushed commits to the PR (co-authored = you can merge)
- Bot PRs (Dependabot, Renovate, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Custom bot patterns you configure
If you really need to merge someone's PR, click the extension icon for a 1-minute override.
