About this extension
KnowMyBrowser tells you exactly which browser you are using, shown in large, easy-to-read text.
Click the toolbar icon and a clear popup appears with your browser's name in big, high-contrast lettering, next to a colored dot. It's built to be readable at a glance, which makes it especially helpful for older users, anyone with low vision, or people who just want a simple, reliable way to confirm which browser they're in.
The extension works across all major desktop browsers.
What you can do:
- Read your browser's name instantly in large, high-contrast text
- Choose a custom color for each browser's dot
- Give each browser your own name, such as renaming it to "Work Browser"
- Keep your settings synced across the browsers you're signed in to
Your privacy comes first:
KnowMyBrowser collects nothing. There are no trackers, no analytics, and no external network requests. Your settings are saved only on your own device using built-in browser storage, and nothing is ever sent to us or anyone else.
KnowMyBrowser does one thing, and does it clearly.
