Keepsake Price Watcher Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 1, 2026
Keepsake Price Watcher saves product information so users can organize products into collections and monitor their prices. Keepsake does not sell personal information and does not contain advertising, analytics, affiliate tracking, or an independent Keepsake data server.
When a user chooses to save a product, Keepsake may read and store information visible on that product page, including the product name, page URL, image URL, description, selected size or option, currency, current price, price history, and the collection name chosen by the user.
This information is stored in Firefox extension storage. If the user is signed into Firefox and has extension syncing enabled, supported collection and product information is transmitted through Mozilla's Firefox Sync service so it can be available on the user's other Firefox installations. Keepsake does not receive this information on a separate developer-operated server.
Keepsake periodically requests each saved product URL, approximately twice per day while Firefox is running, to look for a current price. These requests are sent to the retailer that hosts the saved page and therefore reveal the requested URL and ordinary network information, such as the user's IP address, to that retailer. Keepsake omits account cookies and sign-in credentials from its automatic price-check requests.
Retailers may apply their own privacy policies to requests made to their websites.
Keepsake is not available in Firefox private windows and does not intentionally collect or store private-browsing activity.
Users can delete individual saved products or entire collections from the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored data according to Firefox's extension-storage behavior. Data synchronized by Firefox Sync is controlled through the user's Firefox account and Mozilla's services.
Keepsake does not sell or share saved product information with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. Data is transmitted only as needed to provide the features described above: through Firefox Sync when enabled and to retailers when checking saved product pages.
This policy may be updated if Keepsake's features or data practices change. The updated policy will identify its revision date.
