Privacy policy for Feedback Widget for Snootl
Feedback Widget for Snootl by justDev s. r. o.
Effective date: August 2, 2026
Snootl provides a browser extension that allows authorized users to create and manage visual feedback, comments, tasks, attachments, and screenshots for websites connected to a Snootl project.
When you sign in, the extension sends your authentication credentials to the Snootl service. Session and refresh tokens are stored in Firefox extension-local storage and are not exposed to visited websites.
When you are signed in, the extension may send the current page URL, origin, hostname, and pathname to the Snootl API to determine whether the page is connected to a project you are authorized to access.
If a page contains a Snootl widget, its public project API key may also be sent for server-side project verification.
When you deliberately submit feedback, Snootl may process:
- Comments and task descriptions
- Selected element metadata and page position
- Current page URL
- Files and attachments selected by you
- Screenshots enabled or captured by you
- Drawing annotations
- Console diagnostics
- Browser, operating-system, screen, and viewport information
Submitted feedback is available to authorized members of the relevant Snootl project.
Firefox allows you to disable the
technicalAndInteraction permission. When disabled, the extension does not collect or transmit browser and operating-system information, extension version information, or console diagnostics. Disabling this permission does not prevent the primary feedback features from working. We use information to:
- Authenticate users and maintain sessions
- Match websites with authorized Snootl projects
- Create and manage feedback, tasks, comments, attachments, and screenshots
- Diagnose errors when technical diagnostics are enabled
- Protect the service against abuse and unauthorized access
- Provide customer support
Snootl does not sell personal data and does not use browsing information for advertising or unrelated analytics.
Information may be shared:
- With authorized members of the relevant Snootl workspace or project
- With service providers required to operate hosting, storage, email, and security infrastructure
- When required by law or necessary to protect users, Snootl, or the public
Service providers may process information only to provide their services to Snootl.
Project feedback is retained while the relevant account or project remains active, or as reasonably necessary to provide the service and meet legal or security obligations.
Extension session data remains in Firefox extension-local storage until you sign out, clear the extension data, or remove the extension.
You can:
- Disable optional technical and interaction data in Firefox
- Choose whether to include a screenshot
- Choose which files and feedback to submit
- Sign out to remove the locally stored session
- Remove the extension to delete its local data
- Request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us
Snootl uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect transmitted and stored information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Snootl is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy when the extension or applicable requirements change. The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
