Download Media on X by grad13

Download Movie on X adds a download item to X’s share menu so you can save videos, GIFs, and images from posts on x.com.

What it does
• On a post with video or GIF: open share (↑), then choose 「動画をダウンロード」.
• On a photo post: open share, then choose 「画像をダウンロード」.
• Saves through the browser download manager as {username}_{postId}.mp4 or .jpg (multi-media posts get _1, _2, …).
• Video: highest-bitrate progressive MP4 when available. Images: prefers orig quality.
• Uses your already signed-in X session (and a public syndication fallback when needed). No API keys.

What it does not do
• Does not use the official X developer API product or ask for developer tokens.
• Does not bulk-download timelines, auto-scroll, or archive accounts.
• Does not collect personal data; media is fetched only from X/twimg endpoints in your browser.

How to use
1. Install the add-on and open x.com while signed in.
2. Find a post that contains a video, GIF, or image.
3. Tap the share icon (↑) on that post.
4. Choose 動画をダウンロード or 画像をダウンロード.
5. The file lands in your browser Downloads folder.

Notes
• Works on x.com (and twitter.com when that host still loads the same UI).
• Private / deleted posts, pure HLS-only streams, and DRM are not supported.
• X may change layout or internal endpoints; if the menu item or download stops working, update the add-on when a fix is available.
• Toolbar button (optional) opens this usage guide; icons flip for light/dark browser themes.

About this add-on
