ClearCart is built to be private by design.

WHAT WE COLLECT: Nothing. ClearCart collects no personal data, no browsing history, no search queries, no analytics, and no telemetry of any kind.

WHAT HAPPENS ON YOUR DEVICE: All filtering logic runs entirely inside your browser. The brand lists and language model used for scoring are bundled with the extension. Your settings, filter statistics, and diagnostic results are stored locally via browser storage and never leave your device.

NETWORK REQUESTS: ClearCart makes zero network requests, with one exception: if you purchase ClearCart Pro (or start its free trial), the ExtensionPay library contacts extensionpay.com to process the subscription payment (via Stripe) or register the trial (email only) and verify your license. The optional price-history feature stores the prices of products you view on Amazon or Walmart on your own device, so ClearCart can tell you when you last saw a lower price. This data never leaves your browser and can be erased at any time with the "Clear price history" button in the popup.

The optional "Compare price" button on product pages is an ordinary hyperlink: if you click it, your browser opens a Google Shopping search for that product in a new tab, exactly as if you had typed the search yourself. Nothing is sent in the background, and nothing happens unless you click.

When you uninstall ClearCart, your browser opens one page on our own site (clearcart.org/goodbye) so you can tell us why, if you want to. The address carries no query parameters or identifiers, the page is static with no analytics or tracking, and nothing is sent unless you choose to email us. Your settings and all locally stored data are deleted by the browser along with the extension.

WHAT WE CAN SEE ABOUT YOU: Nothing. There is no server, no account system, and no way for us to identify who uses ClearCart or what they search for.
