Claude Counter by Akash

Claude Counter adds a small on-page display to claude.ai that shows your approximate token usage in the current conversation, a cache timer, and native session/weekly usage bars pulled directly from Claude's own UI data.

Token counts are estimated using a generic tokenizer and may not exactly match Anthropic's internal count — treat them as a helpful approximation rather than an exact figure. The count becomes invalid after a conversation is compacted.

The extension runs entirely on claude.ai, reads data already present on the page, and does not collect, transmit, or store any of your data.
