Scheduled Refresh for Pinned Tabs lets you set custom refresh schedules for selected pinned tabs. It is ideal for news aggregators, dashboards, status monitors, social media, and other pages where you need fresh content at regular intervals. It supports Firefox pinned tabs as well as Pinned Tabs and Essentials in Zen Browser.

🧩 The add-on's settings provide a flexible domain list and per-domain schedules, so you can control exactly which tabs are refreshed.

• Domain matching: Enter one domain or full URL per line. On save, the add-on extracts the domain, removes duplicates, and matches both the domain and its subdomains
• Flexible separators: In addition to one entry per line, you can separate multiple domains with full-width or half-width semicolons, ideographic commas, commas, or vertical bars
• Independent schedules: Enable scheduled refresh separately for each domain and assign a different interval to each one
• Global scope: When the domain list is empty, the add-on applies to all pinned tabs

• Multiple refresh triggers: Refresh automatically after the browser starts, manually by clicking the extension icon, or on the interval configured for each domain
• Active browsing protection: Startup, scheduled, and failure-recovery refreshes automatically skip the tab you are currently viewing, so your work is not interrupted; only an intentional click on the extension icon performs a manual refresh
• Precise domain matching: Matches only the specified domain and its genuine subdomains, so similarly named websites are not refreshed by mistake
• Targeted anomaly handling: When an anomaly is detected, the extension icon shows the number affected; hover to see the website and reason, then click to refresh only the affected tabs
• One-click batch refresh: When there are no anomalies, clicking the extension icon refreshes every pinned tab that matches the domain settings
• Refresh health checks: Goes beyond issuing a reload command by using page navigation and HTTP responses to determine whether the page loaded successfully
• Intelligent retry: Automatically makes a limited number of retry attempts after request timeouts, rate limiting, or temporary server errors, while honoring any wait time returned by the website
• Scheduled failure recovery: If a scheduled refresh still fails, the add-on arranges a reasonably delayed recovery refresh instead of waiting for the next full interval
• Wake sleeping tabs: Safely attempts to wake pinned tabs that have been suspended or unloaded before refreshing them
• Balanced refresh load: Across all windows, no more than three tabs refresh at once, with up to two normal tabs per window; sleeping tabs are woken one at a time, and pages from the same website are always refreshed sequentially, balancing speed, browsing comfort, and server load
• Cancel at any time: Click the extension icon again while a refresh task is running to cancel the current task and clear the pending queue
• Detailed status feedback: Distinguishes between network errors, server errors, request timeouts, browser access restrictions, closed tabs, and cases where an HTTP status cannot be obtained
