About this extension
Notana is a single-purpose artist's reference tool: it analyses one image the user chooses — from their computer, from the page they are currently viewing, or from a cloud library they have connected — and renders study views of it (value structure, notan shapes, colour breakdown, edge weight, gaze path, composition guides) so the artist can see how the image is constructed before they paint or draw it.
Every feature in the extension serves that one purpose: getting a reference image in, analysing it, and presenting the analysis. All analysis runs locally in the browser using canvas and web workers — reference images are never uploaded to our servers.
